We
would like to invite you to our family farm to experience a day of
country living. Take a wagon ride up to the elk habitat and watch
these majestic animals. Help your kids pick a pumpkin or two,
wander through the 7 acre corn maze, browse our “North woods” gift
store, or sit back, relax, and enjoy an awesome piece of fresh apple
pie!
We are fastly approaching that time of year again! We are
opening July 5th – the day after we all should be
celebrating our countries freedom and THANKING and PRAYING
for all the men and women who are risking their lives to
maintain that. Our first opening Saturday should be a fun
one. We are hosting our 1st annual tractor rodeo and
drive. The registration for the drive will be @ 8:30. We
will be departing at 9:15 to enjoy the Northern Illinois
countryside. Come by at lunch time when the kid’s tractor
pull and races begin at our new Sandy Pine Speedway. Ever
been to an antique tractor rodeo? It begins @ 1:00pm and
all of the antique tractors will be on display at this time
as well. I almost forgot to mention that we have the
potential of 15 babies this summer, most being born the
month of June.
Tours start daily July 5th. We are open Monday – Saturday,
10-5pm. Don’t forget to take a look at our list of events
this year. Our Civil War Living History and Reenactment has
turned into an actual battle this year between the North and
the South. We also are blessed with the presence and
portrayal of Abraham Lincoln this year over our Labor Day
festivities.
We have a fun and busy year planned, so bring your families,
friends, groups and associations to join the fun.
